You will be able to ask about your trip out loud and hear the answer back. Interrupt it, correct it, or type instead. It will know which trip you are looking at.

Which Nikko tour has the earlier pickup?

Pick the small-group one.
Chosen. The rail pass option is still on the list if you change your mind.

A trip usually lives in a dozen places: confirmation emails, a document you keep editing, screenshots, three airline apps and a notes file. Lotse will keep it as one trip on your phone, still there when the signal drops.
What it does
You will be able to ask about your trip out loud and hear the answer back. Interrupt it, correct it, or type instead. It will know which trip you are looking at.
Every trip will be stored on your phone or tablet. Check your cabin, transfer or hotel on a twelve-night sailing or a long-haul flight.
Boarding passes and QR codes will open full screen, in trip order, one per traveller, at full brightness.
You will be able to share a trip with the people travelling with you. They will add notes and react to options before anything is booked.
In German, a Lotse is the pilot who comes aboard to guide a ship through the last stretch into port. The pilot knows the local waters so the captain does not have to. The app will do the same job for a trip: keep the details straight while you watch the coast come in.
Each trip will carry through five stages, with the assistant on every screen along the way.
Get notifiedLay the trip out day by day. Keep several options for each part, with prices that show when you saw them, and a note of why you chose one.
See what is booked, what is still to book, what you are waiting on and what is due. Each trip will have a to-do list that shows who each task applies to.
Invite the people going. They will see the same plan and add their notes. Nothing will be sent to anyone outside your household until you approve it.
On the day: what is on now, what is next, when to leave, and every ticket in order. All of it will work with no signal.
Once you are home: confirmations still to arrive, refunds, invoices checked against charges, and the trip kept for next time.
Questions
Lotse is still being built. These are the answers as they stand today.
Lotse is in development and not on the App Store or Google Play yet. There is no release date.
iPhone and iPad, and Android phones. On a tablet it will work in either orientation, so you can plan in landscape at a desk.
No. A sailing is one kind of booking alongside flights, stays, trains, ferries, transfers, tours, shows, restaurants and drive legs. Cruises will get the most detail (cabin, port days, all aboard), but most trips have none.
Your trips, bookings, documents and tickets will be stored on the device and open with no connection. The assistant will need a connection for most questions; offline it will answer from what is on the device.
No. It will help you weigh options, keep track of holds and deadlines, and draft enquiries, but you make every booking and payment yourself. Anything that another person would see will wait for your approval.
Trips will be kept on your device and synced between your own devices. Voice will go to Google to be understood, typed questions to the assistant's language model provider, and documents you add to Anthropic so their details can be read into your trip. Private notes and passport numbers will never be sent to an AI provider.
